About Frimley Gynae Cancer Support Group
History
The group was set up in 2004 by Mr Beynon, Consultant Gynaecologist at Frimley Park Hospital and has been facilitated by Frimley's Gynae Cancer Nurse specialists. The purpose of the group was to enable women who had received a diagnosis of a gynaecological cancer to meet on a regular basis. The group would provide emotional support, information, speakers and social events.
The first meeting was attended by over a hundred women and their families.
Eighteen years on and we have some original members who continue to attend our meetings.
